Dr Joe Wagner provides a range of psychological services to individuals and organisations in Brisbane.
Joe works with people with mood disorders, anxiety, substance addiction, trauma, psychosis, stress, and anger difficulties. He practises primarily from a CBT perspective; however, Joe also draws upon the areas of Mindfulness and DBT skills to help his patients improve the quality of their life by gaining a better understanding of themselves, reducing their emotional distress, and improving their relationships with others.
Joe has interests in the assessment and rehabilitation of cognitive difficulties that occur in a range of diseases and disorders, including ADHD, brain injury, and dementia. He is experienced in the assessment of memory, attention, intelligence, executive and academic functioning, and in examining the cognitive dysfunction that occurs in psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia, depression, PTSD, and personality disorders. Joe can also provide rehabilitation for many of the cognitive difficulties identified during assessment.
Joe is a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor and provides clinical supervision for provisional psychologists completing the 4+2, 5+1, and Higher Degree (i.e. Masters/Doctor of Psychology degree) pathways.
