Patients are able to self-refer and Joe also accepts referrals through Medicare, the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), the Australian Defence Force, and through private health. 

Medicare

Joe's standard fee for clinical psychology services is $220 per session. Patients who are referred by their GP or Psychiatrist through the Mental Health Care Plan can receive up to 10 Medicare funded sessions per calendar year, and are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $137.05 per session (out-of-pocket expense is $82.95). 

 

Telehealth 

Telehealth (i.e. phone/video conference) sessions are available.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) and Australian Defence Force (ADF)

Joe is registered to provide clinical psychology and neuropsychology services for patients referred through DVA and ADF. Patients referred through these pathways are usually eligible for their sessions to be covered with no out-of-pocket expense.

Neuropsychology Services

Costs for neuropsychological assessment vary depending on the nature and length of the assessment. Please enquire directly with Joe about the cost associated with your assessment.
