Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Joe's ADHD Background

Joe has substantial experience working with people with ADHD, having worked at QBI in the Cognitive Neurosciences lab under supervision of Professor Mark Bellgrove who has founded the Australian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA) and led the development of the Australian evidence-based clinical practice guideline for ADHD.

In addition to his research, Joe has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, in addition to overlapping difficulties: study difficulties, learning disorders, autism.

ADHD Assessment and Treatment Services

Joe offers comprehensive ADHD assessments in Brisbane, helping children and adults gain clarity, diagnosis, and practical support. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that can impact attention, organisation, impulse control, and emotional regulation, but with the right assessment and guidance, it can be effectively understood and managed.

Joe’s approach focuses on a clear, structured diagnostic process, including in-depth clinical interviews, symptom evaluation, and consideration of developmental history. This ensures an accurate understanding of each individual’s presentation and needs.

Following assessment, clients receive personalised recommendations, which may include therapy, practical strategies, and guidance around further treatment options such as medical referral where appropriate.

For those unsure where to start, Joe offers an initial consultation to explore whether an ADHD assessment is suitable and to guide next steps.
